Goygol (Azerbaijani: Göygöl) is a rayon (district) in northwestern Azerbaijan. Formerly known as Khanlar, the region was renamed «Goygol» after Lake Goygol, the famous blue lake, by the decision of the Parliament of Azerbaijan on April 25, 2008. The administrative center of the rayon is the city of Goygol.

The city of Goygol was founded as the German settlement of Helenendorf in 1819 and was renamed as Khanlar (Xanlar) in 1938.
Çaylı (also, Verin Tchajlu, Aygestan, Ch’aylu, Chailu, Getk, Stalino, Verin Chailou, Verin-Chaylu, and Verin-Chayly) is a village in the Tartar Rayon of Azerbaijan. The village is on the cease-fire line between the armed forces of the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and those of Azerbaijan. There have been allegations of cease fire violations in the village’s vicinity.

Stalin raion, – Sabail raion, Azerbaijan
Originally named Bayil Bibi-Heybat, the raion assumed the name of Joseph Stalin in 1931 and in 1960 was renamed after 26 Baku Commissars. On April 29, 1992 the raion gained the name of Sabail, the historical architectural ensemble about 350 m south-west to the Baku Bay.
